A Strategic Vision for Energy Trading
LOUMO is an oil trading company founded in November 2015 in Senegal by Alimou Gaétan BA, a former executive at Société Générale CIB Paris, where he held responsibilities in trading and business development. He brings solid expertise in structured trade finance and credit risk management.
Since its inception, LOUMO has built a broad network of clients across Africa and suppliers worldwide, enabling the company to work with a wide range of partners, including national oil companies, producers, majors, refiners, traders, distributors, brokerage firms, and exploration and production (E&P) companies.
We trade all categories of petroleum products — crude and refined — as well as bitumen and biomass.
With an experienced team and proven trading strategies, LOUMO is well-positioned to seize market opportunities, particularly across the African continent.
Based on strict internal criteria and return on equity (ROE) objectives, we establish exclusive partnerships with strategic independent retailers, tailored to each country and product line.

Alimou Gaetan BA

Alimou Gaétan BA began his career in 2005 at Société Générale CIB in Paris La Défense, within the “International Commodity Finance and Trading” department, where he worked until 2022. From 2022 to 2024, he joined QNB (Qatar National Bank, Paris) as Manager of Trade Finance and Structured Finance, overseeing international trade financing and credit for business development and trading activities.
In parallel, he founded LOUMO in November 2015. He is currently the CEO of LOUMO, where he leads business development and trading operations.

With a strong passion for the growth dynamics of SMEs and SMIs, I am a Business & Financial Analyst specializing in corporate finance and digital management systems. My goal is to optimize internal company processes. I have in-depth expertise in financial information and financial analysis to improve performance and profitability.
I have held management positions, managed operations, developed portfolio strategies, and led dematerialization projects. My skills cover management, accounting, business administration, and financial analysis, with proficiency in office tools and ERP such as Odoo.
Determined to be a key player in innovation in finance and accounting, I am committed to strengthening business competitiveness through my skills. I am based in Dakar and available for new opportunities.
